Church Leaders Group visit Lough Neagh

The Church Leaders Group (Ireland) visited Lough Neagh and Coney Island on Wednesday 23rd July, where they heard from local communities, fishermen and conservationists.

The President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev Alan Wardlow was joined by Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland, The Most Revd John McDowell, Presbyterian Moderator, the Rev Trevor Gribben and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland, The Most Revd Eamon Martin.

Last year, the Stormont Executive launched an action plan to deal with the environmental crisis at the lough.

The group also spent time in prayer.
