Wesley Hospital, Myanmar

We recently received an update from Dr. Bil in Wesley Hospital in Tahan, outlining the many challenges they currently face.

We reopened the hospital on the 5th of July and many post-covid patients with severe respiratory infections and difficulties are pouring into the hospital at the moment and more than 50% of about 120 available beds are occupied by them. Because of severe shortages of oxygen supply to the area, the hospital risked installing an oxygen plant from loan money with the interest rate of 13% per annum. This oxygen plant serves both the hospital itself and community but still far from enough.

There is a financial strain on our resources such as medicines, the PPE, food and other consumable materials because we cannot increase our service charges due to the economic situation of the country and joblessness of the countrymen.

Please continue to pray for Myanmar and the team at Wesley Hospital as they continue to care for their community under immense pressure.
