Methodists for World Mission Conference

From 30th May to 1st June, methodists gathered at Cliff College to celebrate the contribution of lay mission partners, and spend time looking ahead to the future.

We are thankful to Rev Pam Dzunu, member of our World Mission Partnership (WMP) committee, who attended the conference on our behalf. During her visit, she had the chance to spend time with former mission partners, Methodists for World Mission (MWM) partners, and the Methodist Church Britain’s Global Relationships team.

Pam notes, “One of the things they really wanted to do at this particular MWM Conference was to both lament the end of the lay partner programme while also celebrating the work of God through all those mission partners who have returned. Doing both of those things simultaneously was not easy to accomplish, but I think they did it well.”

Rev. Pam Dzunu with Rev. Femi, who led prayer one morning and had a lot of wisdom to share throughout the conference.

Pam talked with Cleo, who reported about a church in Zimbabwe that is being built through a grant from World Mission Fund.

Sarah Lowe has recently returned from Sri Lanka and had much to report from there, particularly about how delighted the youth were to receive the funds from the Norman Taggart legacy, and what a difference it has made for them.
