Between October 9th and 11th, nearly 30 pastors and church leaders connected to Zion Church, one of China’s most influential house church networks, were reportedly detained or went missing.

While 16 of those taken have since been released or granted bail, 22 individuals (13 women and 9 men) are still being held in Beihai, Guangxi Province. Almost half are thought to be key church leaders.

Pastor Jin Mingri (also known as Ezra), founder and leader of Zion Church, was among those arrested. His wife Chunli Liu (Anna), has written an open letter humbly asking for prayer for her husband and the church.

Please do pray for our brothers and sisters in China as members of the church face fear and uncertainty with a very real threat of being detained for their faith. Pray for the wellbeing of those who remain in detention and pray that God would comfort their families who wait, not knowing the outcome of these arrests.
