WMP at Autumn Soul

IMYC hosted their annual Autumn Soul weekend from 28-30 October in Bangor.

WMP was invited to host an afternoon seminar for young people and their leaders to attend. WMP Coordinator David Nesbitt led the seminar, titled ‘Love Without Borders’.

Throughout the seminar, David spoke about how God doesn’t care about the colour of our passports. He loves the whole world, and He wants them to know about it. Young people were reminded that this is what World Mission Partnership is for: to share God’s love, and to grow a church for the people who need it most - no matter who they are or where they’re from.

David spoke about how the Methodist church is showing God’s love to migrants and refugees. Attendees heard stories about what’s really happening on the ground, and found out what they can do to make a difference in the places where it’s needed most.

David says, “I got a warm (if slightly wet!) welcome in Bangor, as I returned to Autumn Soul for the first time in twenty years.

I enjoyed my conversations with the young people who attended the seminars, and I was humbled by their response to my request for postcards encouraging our partners in Chemnitz and Lampedusa.

I had hoped we might get a few dozen cards to send – but the young people produced almost two hundred!

Thank you to IMYC for inviting World Mission Partnership to Autumn Soul and thanks to everyone who came along to the seminar!
