President attending St. Paul’s Cathedral for the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

On Friday 3rd June, the Rev. Dr. Sahr Yambasu, President of the Methodist Church in Ireland will be attending St.Paul’s Cathedral for the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Commenting on his invitation, the President said:


“I am honoured to be representing our Church at this historic Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the Queen’s 70 years as Monarch.

Her majesty’s Christian faith has always been evident during these years, especially in her Christmas Day broadcast.

From her declaration on her 21st birthday that ‘be her life be long or short she would dedicate that life in the service of others’ until the present day, Her Majesty has continued to fulfil that promise.”

The Archbishop of Armagh Most Rev.John McDowell and the Rt Rev.Dr. David Bruce, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland will also be attending this service.
