Nepal Floods Response

In light of the devastating floods in Nepal, World Development & Relief (WDR) has provided an immediate emergency grant of £3,000 (€3,500) to our partner, Kopila Nepal based in Pokhara.NGOs in the country are being asked to help in whatever way they can.

This emergency funding will enable Kopila to respond by providing counsellors and carers to local hospitals, supporting survivors and families who have lost loved ones.Many Kopila staff are social workers and are well equipped to offer this expert care.

In Bina Silwal's (Director of Kopila) words, Kopila staff are there to support those with "tearful eyes and painful hearts".

We are thankful that Kopila’s own work has not been directly impacted and that all their staff are safe.
