MCI at the National Ploughing Championships
The largest outdoor agriculture-based exhibition in Europe is taking place again next week - and the Methodist Church in Ireland will once again be present at it.
The National Ploughing Championships will be held from the 15th - 17th September at Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
We look forward to being present in the same location as before - right beside the entrance to the Dome. We expect to be serving approximately 5000 cups of tea or coffee over the three days. We will be providing a gentle and friendly space for people to sit down. We'll have information about our faith and the mission of the Methodist Church in Ireland. Gurteen College (The Agriculture, Environmental Sustainability & Equine College founded by the Methodist Church) will be present at our stand too.
We are very glad to be present like this. Many of our churches are very earthed in local rural communities, with our membership seeking to live out their faith well in rural society. As a church we are also committed to exercising our wider responsibility of engagement with social, political and agricultural affairs.
We invite you to drop by at our stand. You will be made very welcome. We're in the DOME (Block 4 Row 31 Stand 596). On a site map, look near the bottom for the block that says 596 - we'll be at the top right entrance.
Could you volunteer?
We could still do with more helpers for our stand. If you think that you could help, please email katherine.kehoe@irishmethodist.org
