MCI Welcomes new President of Ireland

On Tuesday 11th November, president-elect, Catherine Connolly will be inaugurated as the tenth President of Ireland.

On the eve of her inauguration as President of Ireland the President and Lay Leader of the Methodist Church in Ireland have issued the following statement:

“On behalf of the Methodist Church in Ireland the President and Lay Leader of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev Alan Wardlow and Ms. Elaine Barnett, offer their warm congratulations and prayerful good wishes to Catherine Connolly and her family.”

The Rev. Alan Wardlow will attend the inauguration at Dublin Castle tomorrow and will take part in the ceremony by offering a prayer for the new President.
