Each year the Methodist Church in Ireland sets aside Home Mission Sunday to focus on local mission and to raise money to support mission initiatives throughout Ireland.
The theme for the Home Mission Sunday service 2024 is ‘REMARKABLE THINGS’.
On Home Mission Sunday 2024, we reflect on the remarkable story from Luke 5, where Jesus heals a paralysed man. After witnessing this healing, the crowd couldn't help but praise God, saying, "We have seen remarkable things today." This theme of "Remarkable Things" invites us to consider the transforming power of God in our lives and the world around us.
Through both the passage from Luke 5 and "Transformation Story" videos we are invited to bring our needs to Jesus, challenged to step out in faith, and given the opportunity to praise God for the “remarkable things” happening all around us.
