Barry & Gillian and family went to the former East Germany as mission partners in 1999.
Gillian and Barry work with INSPIRE, an ecumenical ‘Fresh Expressions’ community, which serves those outside the traditional church in Chemnitz.
Gillian is employed by the General Board of Global Ministries, part of the United Methodist Church. Through World Mission Partnership, Irish Methodists support Gillian’s work with a grant of £20,000 per year.
In addition to his role with INSPIRE, Barry is also Partnership Coordinator for Europe in the Global Relationships team (Methodist Church in Britain).

MELISSA NEWELL:
ecuador
Melissa Newell has been serving with La Iglesia Evangélica Metodista Unida del Ecuador since February 2022.
She is based in the town of Puerto Misahuallí where she splits her time between teaching English and serving the church through young adult ministry and building up a discipleship programme.
Melissa serves in Ecuador through the South American Mission Society (Ireland). Melissa has to raise money to finance this role. Through World Mission Partnership, Irish Methodists support Melissa’s work with a grant of up to £20,000 per year.

Gemma barclay:

Gemma Barclay has been serving with 24-7 Ibiza since 2023.
As part of the 24-7 Ibiza team, Gemma leads the outreach in the West End of San Antonio. 24-7 Ibiza exist to care for the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the community.
Gemma has to raise her own monthly financial support. Through World Mission Partnership, Irish Methodists support Gemma’s work with a grant of £3,600 per year. However, she still needs to raise more - you can help with this by donating here.
