Opportunity for young adults to serve overseas

The Global Mission Fellows programme is recruiting NOW for its 2022-24 international track (deadline 15 January). Successful applicants would take up their placements from September 2022 onwards, following a period of training in July. The programme will continue to monitor how Covid-19 is impacting the countries in question, the needs of placement partners and travel restrictions, and placements will only go ahead if both feasible and advisable.

You can find out more and apply directly here. This will take you to the Global Ministries website of the United Methodist Church who administer the GMF programme. There you will find a timeline for recruitment, FAQs and materials to help you discern if the programme is the right thing for you.

Aged 20-30? The Global Mission Fellows programme might be for you. It is a great opportunity to serve in another country, to live out your faith and develop as a leader committed to justice and peace. The 2-year programme is open to graduate-level (or equivalent) young adults from Britain, Ireland and around the world. If your application is successful, you will train with other Global Mission Fellows then take up a placement with a church or Christian organisation engaged in social justice in a country different from your own. Through regular supervision, reviews and mid-term training you will be encouraged to reflect on and learn from your experience, and to live out the programme’s three core values:
