Rev Norman Taggart was a passionate believer in overseas mission. When Methodist Women in Ireland (MWI) received a legacy from the late Rev Taggart, they felt it would be fitting to use the funds to support our world church family.
MWI have long-standing links with the Methodist Women’s Association (MWA) in Upper Myanmar, so it was a blessing to be able to send a grant of £2,000 to support their Burmese sisters.
The grant was gratefully received on the 21st July and Mrs Lal Zopuil (Conference MWA President) sent a letter of thanks to the MWI leadership. The funds will be used to reach displaced people of conflict and victims of the recent earthquake.
World Mission Partnership want to express our thanks to MWI for their generosity, their heart for the World Church and their determination to put their faith into action.
Please remember the Methodist Women’s Association in Myanmar and the wider Methodist Church Upper Myanmar as they continue the work of rebuilding lives, homes and churches in the aftermath of this disaster.
