Meeting Archbishop Elias Chacour
Yesterday, Hazel Loney, MCI Lay Leader, met Archbishop Elias Chacour, a Palestinian Christian who has devoted his life to peace-building and reconciliation.
Hazel says, “Our visit with the Archbishop was riveting. He talked and we listened and laughed and sighed. He is Palestinian and his family was dispossessed of their land but he works for peace and justice in Christ’s name.” Hazel and Bobby prayed with the Archbishop, which Hazel says was "a privilege”.
Hazel and Bobby also visited Bethlehem Bible College where they met Shireen Awwad Hilal. Shireen is the Director of Community and Development Outreach at the College.
