Through World Mission Partnership, The Methodist Church in Ireland has designated a gift of £10,000 to our world church partner, the Methodist Church Upper Myanmar.
This gift will be sent with a further £20,000 from the Methodist Church in Britain, through Global Relationships.

This gift will help the church as they support 200 church members who have recently lost their government jobs. These members lost their jobs due to their involvement in democratic, peaceful protests in the country which challenged the government.

Due to the situation in Myanmar and ongoing unrest, we have been unable to transfer this financial gift as the church will not be able to access it. This has been delayed for many months. Please pray that the circumstances will change to enable us to send this gift to help the church.
