Grant for Methodist Church Upper Myanmar

At a meeting in September, the World Mission Partnership committee agreed to send a grant of $15,000 to the Methodist Church in Myanmar.
This sum will be used by MCUM to develop their elephant yam project in the Kanpetlet District. Crops will be cultivated and sold to support the District’s church work.

Seeing church Districts becoming more self-reliant is an important aim for WMP.

In receiving news of this grant, Rev. Kok Thang (President MCUM) said,
”It's a joy to hear that the request project had granted. It will be very helpful as Kan Pet Let District is newly formed. Many thanks.”
