Evangelism in Myanmar

Through World Mission Partnership, Irish Methodists have recently sent a gift of $12000 to the Methodist Church Upper Myanmar (MCUM). This sum will be used to pay the salaries of eight Methodist evangelists for one year.

These evangelists go into new mission fields which are predominately Buddhist or animist. It can be dangerous.

Rev. Kok Thang, President of MCUM, writes,
”I am very delighted to receive your email with many thanks that informed us that my request of supporting missionaries is granted. It will be helpful to the mission and evangelism work of MCUM in a great deal.”

Please continue to pray for safety, for opportunities to witness in word and deed, for wisdom as to what the opportunities are and for Methodist Church Upper Myanmar.
