Junior Mission for All (JMA)
JMA is an educational programme for children, to help them understand and engage with their role in God’s global mission. It allows them to hear from children in other parts of the world and encourages them to learn about, pray for and serve the worldwide church.
Each year children in the Methodist Church in Ireland raise funds for a world church partner or programme.
JMA runs from September - June and can be used with any children’s group in your church, uniformed organisations or by families at home. We contact our JMA leaders a few times during the year. Please let us know if you’re using JMA so we can add you to our list to share updates throughout the year.

JMA 2025-26: MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE!
In 2025-26, JMA will be supporting the Methodist Church in Barbados.
Barbados may be an idyllic holiday destination, but young people there face rising levels of unemployment and crime. In response, the Methodist Church is running a Youth Arts programme which helps young people to develop their God-given gifts and encourages them to engage with the church.
The programme includes camps and weekly lessons where young people can learn instruments, take singing lessons, dance, write songs and much more! The Methodist Church will also run personal and spiritual development workshops, helping young people to grow their faith alongside their artistic skills.
100% of funds raised through JMA between September 2025 and June 2026 will go to the Methodist Church in Barbados to help pay for tutors, staff, instruments to make sure every year 100s of children will develop their talents and skills to help them thrive in their personal and spiritual life.
Our Bible focus this year is on the story of the Levites called to worship and praise God with their gifts as the Ark of the Covenant was brought back to Jerusalem. This story is a great example of how we should Make A Joyful Noise for God, using the wonderful gifts he has given each of us!
Come along with us as we learn about Barbados, meet a historical Hero of Methodism: Sarah Ann Gill, find out how the Levites used their gifts for God and get creative with crafts and games!
This year we have created a leaders’ guide with printable worksheets to make sharing about world mission as engaging as possible. (If you don’t have access to a printer, the WMP office can provide copies!)
We hope that children and families will enjoy this year’s JMA resource as we support the Methodist Church in Barbados. We pray the children learn how God values all their gifts and ask that God will use JMA to develop interest in our world church family.
