Grants
One way that WMP supports our church family is by providing grants. These grants support church-focused initiatives, including:
Evangelism
Discipleship
Theological education
Leadership training
Support for sustainable church growth (e.g. income generation projects)
Here are some examples of recent grants awarded by WMP:
-

Strategic Staff Strategies in Uganda - £5,832 / €6,623
Rev Hamisi’s role is a key part of MCU’s investment in their members; leading a programme to build a church of committed Christians who share their faith. Supported by Grace Ayaa (Administrator) and Aaron Tenywa (Accountant), the programme trains members in practical areas like financial stewardship, as well as sound doctrine and discipleship.
Your giving to World Mission Partnership funds their salaries, enabling this vital work and helping lay strong foundations for the church to thrive.
-

Bible Distribution in Myanmar - £6,850 / €7,780
The Methodist Church Upper Myanmar (MCUM) continues to bring hope and light to those around them, with a desire to see God’s word transform hearts and lives.
To help more people access the life-changing good news of the gospel, WMP sent a grant of £6,850 / €7,780 to MCUM to purchase and distribute Bibles throughout Myanmar. We pray that God’s word reaches the hands and hearts of those who need it most.
-

Women’s Leadership Conference in Ghana - £8,565 / €9,727
This grant supported the Methodist Church Ghana as they hosted an International Women in Leadership Conference in March 2025. 147 women attended, coming together to worship, pray and address on key issues that affect Methodist women in leadership.
Objectives included creating spaces for women and girls to lead, mentoring for transformative leadership, equipping women with practical skills to overcome systemic barriers, and amplifying advocacy for women in strategic roles.
-

Transport + Theological Training in Tanzania - £11,592 / €13,165
In Tanzania, preachers serve rural congregations spread 10 to 40km apart. With few lay leaders and limited transport, being present when needed is a challenge.
Your support through World Mission Partnership is helping change that. In 2025, we funded 3 motorbikes and 15 bicycles for the Methodist Church in Tanzania, making ministry more accessible.
Alongside transport, preachers are equipped with vital theological training: this year, 4 ministers and 10 lay evangelists were supported to attend certificate and diploma courses.
-

Christian Media Network Middle East & North Africa - £5,000 / €5,679
SAT-7 is a Christian media network reaching over 500 million people in the Middle East and North Africa via satellite TV and the internet, where many Christians face persecution.
Its faith-filled programmes, presented by local believers in native languages, bypass censorship and illiteracy, sharing the Gospel with those who might never hear it otherwise. Through World Mission Partnership, you help make this possible.
-

“Growing with the Bible” in Pakistan - £10,000 / €11,357
The Pakistan Bible Society’s Growing with the Bible project brings God’s Word to children through Vacation Bible Schools, pocket-sized Bibles, and books on key Bible characters. It has reached tens of thousands of children and helped churches share the Gospel with families.
In Ireland WMP and Bible Society NI have worked together to support the project, while Pakistan Bible Society and Scripture Union deliver it locally. Working together and through your giving, the project is transforming lives
