IJM is one of the largest antislavery organisations in the world, working to protect people in poverty from everyday violence, modern slavery and human trafficking. IJM consists of a global team of lawyers, social workers, criminal investigators, survivors and church communities collaborating to build a safer world where all are protected. IJM achieves this by bringing people to safety, strengthening justice systems and advocating for protection to be an essential and tangible future for everyone. Together with partners, IJM have brought over 85,000 people to safety and have seen a decrease in slavery by 86% in places they have worked.
WDR partners with IJM to support victims of human trafficking in Cambodia.
By the end of 2024, 4 victims of trafficking who were rescued are now being supported by IJM and partner organisations. Your giving to WDR allows IJM to provide vital livelihoods training and aftercare services for victims of trafficking and forced labour slavery. IJM provides emotional support as well as offering economic and financial advice to help victims to not only survive but to thrive and lead successful, independent lives. The Local Survivor Network (LSN) in Kampot province now has 37 members and provides a safe space for survivors to meet together and support each other.
Please pray for those still entrapped by traffickers in Cambodia, for survivors as they rebuild their lives and for IJM as they work towards ending the business of modern slavery, for good.
“Thank you for all WDR is doing to support IJM's work; we're really thankful for your partnership!”
Hannah Elliott, IJM Northern Ireland Director
