President offers prayerful support to new Taoiseach

The President of the Methodist Church in Ireland has written to the new Taoiseach, Simon Harris this week warmly congratulating and affirming him on his recent appointment.

In his letter, the Rev David Turtle offered the ‘prayerful support of the Church’ in the responsibilities that the role brings. 

The President also highlighted the many challenges and opportunities that lie before Ireland in this season but also the willingness of the Church to play our part in the ongoing work of developing peace, prosperity and integrity across the island of Ireland.
