The Rev David Nixon, President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, who participated in the Service of Thanksgiving for the life the late Queen Elizabeth II in St. Anne's Cathedral Belfast, in the presence of King Charles III and Camila, the Queen Consort, has been invited with the other Church Leaders from Ireland to the Funeral Service of the late Queen in Westminster Abbey on Monday 19th September.

Commenting on this invitation, the Methodist President has said:

"I am honoured by this invitation to be present and process at the funeral service for the late Queen and pray that for King Charles III and all the Royal Family that this service will bring them peace and encouragement as they move into the next chapter of their lives"
