L-R)The Right Reverend Dr John Kirkpatrick - Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, The Most Reverend Eamon Martin - Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh & Primate of All Ireland, The Reverend David Nixon - President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, The Most Reverend John McDowell - Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh & Primate of All Ireland.

The President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev David Nixon reflects on the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey today.

“What an honour and privilege to be in Westminster Abbey at the Coronation Service today! The various items of regalia were presented to The King, each a visible reminder of his great responsibility under God.

It was such a moving service of worship and prayer to the King of Kings for The King and Queen. I was delighted to meet the Choir Members from Methodist College Belfast when they arrived at the Abbey early in the morning and what a wonderful performance from the entire choir and all the musicians!

The same God will be worshipped in Craigyhill as was in Westminster Abbey. (Thanks to Mr Tom Wilson (Lay Leader), for leading this service in my absence).

Like the King, we are called to serve rather than being served.”
