Day Conference

  • In-Person & Online (map)

Come and join with us as we explore Mission and Evangelism in the 21st Century.

Saturday 19th February, 2022
10am - 1pm

What does Mission and Evangelism look like for us as individuals and as part of the body of Christ, as disciples and as Methodists?

This Day Conference is a time to reflect on how we might continue to engage with people and share good news. It will be an opportunity for people to explore how we might help our churches to develop their evangelism ministry.

Hesitant about signing up?

During the pandemic there has been an increased openness to spiritual conversations, new people ‘attending’ online church and a desire for a connection to something, after periods of isolation.

As followers of Jesus, we have a wholehearted commitment to see this world transformed. God with his unlimited grace and his constant love, is longing for all people to flourish through his Son. People who come to faith, mainly do so because someone they know shares their faith with them, however tentatively.

Rev Dr Stephen Skuce
North- Western District Superintendent

What does evangelism look like for us today as we join in God’s Mission? What are some of the key issues and how do we express a contemporary Wesleyan understanding of the meaning of evangelism?

Grace McGurk
Learning and Development Officer will be exploring a ‘Pattern for Evangelism’ involving:

·      Keep Praying

·      Build Relationships

·      Start Sharing.

As we consider these three areas, we will explore what individuals and churches are already doing and consider some new possibilities.

Who can come?

This morning together is open for anyone to attend - all generations, those experienced in sharing their faith and those who have never shared their faith, those curious to find out what evangelism might look like in their context and those whose evangelism ministry is well developed.

How can I attend the conference?

There are two options: (select preferred option on the registration form)

1.    In-Person Hub

2.    Online via Zoom

There will be several In-person hubs positioned across the country. The location of the hubs will depend on numbers and the locality of those who register. If there isn’t a Hub near to you, you will be able to join via Zoom. Each hub will have a host who will help facilitate discussion.
