Agape Lecture with Linda Ervine

The Public Engagement Team at Belfast South invite you to hear:

Linda Ervine
speaking on THE IRISH LANGUAGE IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES.

There will be talk and discussion. The evening is open to all.

Linda, one of our cultural gems, founded TURAS, the Irish Gaelige project connecting Protestant-community people to their own history with the irish languagre. Her program, based in the East Belfast Mission - Skainos - is widely celebrated for its appreciation of the Irish language in our NI history.

Let’s not take language for granted. It's a primary spiritual faculty, seeded in our common psyche, flowering in print and talk, belonging to us all. Linda, linguist and master story teller, will lead us imaginatively into the culture we inhabit, knowingly or not!

We invite you, your church and other contacts to join us for what will be a fascinating evening in the festive season.

Zoom login details will follow shortly.
