Response to Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse has historically been cloaked in silence, treated as an issue that is to remain behind closed doors. Such an attitude has attributed to continuing abuse and violence on many women, men, and children.
Domestic abuse is an injustice in our society. An injustice that is at epidemic level. The statistics on this island, and across the world, are evidence of this. Advocating and protecting the vulnerable is part of the gospel message of Christ, and therefore, part of our mission responsibility as Christ’s Church.
We want to equip churches across our Connexion to positively engage in discussions and prayer around their reaction and response to Domestic Abuse.
We invite you to read and engage with our ‘Response to Domestic Abuse’ document, below.
