The two hundred and fifty third Conference of the Methodist Church in Ireland took place at Assembly Buildings in Belfast from Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th June, 2022.


Gathering members of the Methodist Church in Ireland together again for worship, It prayer, reflection, conversation and celebration. 

Enthusing and emboldening members, and the wider church, for mission by inviting the Holy Spirit to bring new life and power to the places that we feel weary or disheartened.

Challenging members to go back to their local contexts to enable local Societies and Circuits to live wholeheartedly as followers of Jesus for the transformation of the world.

Rev David Nixon was installed as President 2022-23 and Mr Tom Wilson was installed as Lay Leader for 2022-24.

President Designate 2023-24

REV DAVID TURTLE

At Conference 2022, the Rev David Turtle was elected as President Designate for 2023-24.

David is currently Superintendent of the Lagan Valley & South Down Methodist Circuit.

But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly
I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.
